GEAR'd Adelaide returns this year for a 4-day celebration of everything kinky in South Australia. The festival this year combines the Mr & Ms Adelaide Leather competitions with the
Australian Pup and Handler competition, making it the biggest weekend for the event to date. GEAR'd this year will also host a market hall, pup mosh and and the signature Adelaide BackDoor Dance Party. For a full itinerary of events click here.
Running from 14th to 17th of November, GEAR'd is part of the two-week long pride festival Feast and each night has a special event to attract fetish goers from local, interstate and international scenes. All events a part of this year's GEAR'd will be hosted at Adelaide's Wakefield Hotel.
GEAR'd was inaugurated in 2017 to showcase the unique and diverse community that has grown from the original roots of the Adelaide Leathermen - which is know known as Adelaide Leather & Fetish. The dedicated group of individuals that have worked tirelessly over the last three years to grow a diverse, all-inclusive and safe place where kinksters can learn and develop their skills to play safely for themselves and the safety of the partners.
GEAR'd has grown substantially over the past three years - with more than double the attendees at the second year from the inaugural event. GEAR’d has garnered the reputation as 'Australia’s premier all inclusive event'. GEAR’d introduced the first women’s title in Australia in over 4 years, and the first women’s title in SA ever.
To kick off the celebrations the GEAR'd VIP party and launch of the Provocateur fetish photography exhibition will take place on the Thursday evening, followed by the APHC Pup Walk and Mr and Ms Adelaide Leather competitions on the Friday. Saturday afternoon will see the Market Hall filled with everything kink-and-sex-positive, with over 18 local and interstate vendors presenting their wares and a diverse range of workshops hosted by some of Australia's leading alternative educators, followed by the highlight weekend: the BackDoor Dance Party. The Dance Party will feature kink performances and play, and DJs from around Australia - including Adelaide's own DJ Pup Kayden and Sydney's DJ Sveta. Sunday will see a recovery BBQ with DJs back on the decks and a celebratory Puppy Mosh.
